The Technical College “Costin D. Nenitescu” Pitesti is a big establishment of professional and technical education, founded in 1965 which ensures professional training for about 1120 students from Arges and Olt counties, in the technical field for qualifications of  automation technician, electro-mechanical technician, the field of economicactivity – trade worker , technician  and in the field of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection- chemistry  lab technician an environmental technician. The Technical College “Costin D. Nenitescu” Pitesti is a reference institution in the domains of training previously mentioned, with highly trained teachers and remarkable results in the didactic activity. The school has been included since 1994 in the PHARE VET RO 9405 program of reforming the professional and technical education in Romania. Every year the final exams results have been very good as against the national average and the students of the school have obtained important prizes at the national phase at Olympiads and contests.    The Technical College “Costin D. Nenitescu” Pitesti has a very long experience in the management of the European  Training Programs Leonardo da Vinci contributing constantly to the development of this sectorial program in Romania. The projects developed had a high quality level for which the school received in 2009 the Mobility Institutional Certificate Leonardo da Vinci no. LLP-LdV/CERT/2009/RO/006 (IVT mobility), in the technical field. Several developed projects have been called good practice examples at a national level (2006, 2007 and 2010) and at a European level (Bucharest and Rome- 2007, Germany 2008, 2009). In 2011 the school received The Excellence Certificate from ANPCDEFP for the management of the projects in the field of education and professional training on the occasion of celebrating 15 years since starting Leonardo da Vinci Program in Europe. In March 2014, the institution receives the Excellence Award in LLP projects for the quality and continuity in the Leonardo da Vinci projects and for the quality of implementing the European and national VET policies in Romania.

    In 2015 the school received the Charta  VET for the periode 2016-2020.
